Political Leanings

As a candidate in a nonpartisan School Board election, you are not officially associated with any specific political party.  How would you describe your political leanings (socially, fiscally, etc.) and why do you define yourself in this way?

I consider myself a person who embraces a common-sense approach, guided by a love for God, family, and country. These values have shaped my perspective and drive my commitment to ensuring that all students have the opportunities I’ve been fortunate to receive.

Your Experience and Vision

What experience (personal, professional, other) would you bring to your role as School Board Member that will benefit your district?  What is your vision to help ensure the highest quality education for your district’s students?

I have valuable experience in managing our family-run nonprofit boxing gym, focusing on financial accountability and youth development. Working closely with kids, I instill our gym’s motto of desire, discipline, confidence, self-esteem, and dedication. Growing up in the area and navigating the D-3 school system has deepened my commitment to our community. My vision is to emphasize core subjects—reading, writing, math, science, and history. I believe in preparing our youth for success both academically and in life.

Improving Schools

What are the primary strengths and weaknesses of your district’s schools?  What would you maintain or change?

The primary strengths of our district’s schools include dedicated teachers and strong community involvement, which foster a supportive learning environment. However, weaknesses include limited resources and inconsistent focus on core subjects. I would prioritize the commitment to teacher development and community engagement, as well as safety. while advocating for increased funding and a curriculum that emphasizes reading, writing, math, science, and history to enhance academic performance.

Curriculum

What types of curricula, including library books and materials, if any, do you believe should be added or removed from your district’s schools?  Why?

I believe our district should add curricula that emphasize a comprehensive study of our country’s history, highlighting both achievements and challenges, to foster a deeper understanding of civic responsibility. Additionally, incorporating materials that focus on opportunities available in our society, such as entrepreneurship and civic engagement, would empower students. We should consider removing outdated resources that do not accurately represent our history, ensuring that students receive a balanced and inspiring education that prepares them for active and a readiness afteafter high-school.

Financial Stewardship

Depending on the size of their district, School Board Members decide how to spend $10s of millions of dollars, or even $100s of millions, in taxpayer money each year.  How would you seek to prioritize the funds being stewarded by your district’s School Board?

I would prioritize needs over wants by allocating funds to essential resources, teacher support, and programs that directly enhance student performance. This approach ensures that we meet the fundamental requirements for effective education first, creating a strong foundation for student success.

Technology

What do you believe is the proper balance of a student’s use of technology in education  —  such as cell phone use during school hours and incorporating artificial intelligence?

The proper balance of technology use in education involves integrating tools like artificial intelligence to enhance learning while setting clear boundaries for personal devices, such as cell phones, during school hours. Technology should be used as a supportive resource for research, collaboration, and skill development, but guidelines need to be in place to minimize distractions and ensure that face- to- face interactions and critical thinking remain central to the educational experience.

Parental Role

What do you consider to be a parent’s role in a child’s education?  Do you believe that any information about a student should ever be withheld from a parent?

I believe a parent’s role in a child’s education is crucial, and I will stand firm in upholding parental rights by ensuring they are informed about any and all matters involving their child. Transparency is essential for fostering trust and collaboration between schools and families, and I do not support withholding information from parents regarding their child’s education and well-being.

Sex Ed

Why do you support or oppose comprehensive sexuality education, including LGBT health and relationship information, in public schools K to 12?  What are your positions regarding age appropriateness, curriculum transparency, and opt-in or -out policies?

I do not support comprehensive sexuality education in public schools, as I believe that schools should focus primarily on academic learning rather than influencing children’s views on gender or sexuality. It’s essential to maintain a neutral educational environment. Instead, any related discussions should be age-appropriate, transparent, and involve parental input, allowing families to choose what is best for their children. And support the option to opt out.

Gender Issues

What are your views on gender issues in schools, including the use of preferred pronouns, discussing gender issues in the classroom, allowing students to use facilities and participate in sports activities not of their biological gender, and compliance with federal directives and law regarding gender issues?

I believe that a child’s given name should be used to respect the parents and their rights. I do not support the use of preferred pronouns that differ from a child’s biological sex, and I believe that biological boys should not participate in sports or use facilities designated for biological females.

School Safety

As a School Board member, what changes would you want to make, if any, to help ensure a safe and secure environment for both the students and staff of your district?

We want to ensure that we have effective systems and procedures in place for safety, while also strengthening our partnership with local law enforcement to create a secure environment for both students and staff.

School Board Meetings

What do you consider to be the appropriate balance between the authority of School Boards and the rights of the public to present their views during School Board meetings?

There should be a clear and transparent school board that actively allows all parents and community members to voice their views during meetings, ensuring that public input is valued while maintaining the board’s authority to make decisions in the best interest of the children’s education.

Political Leanings

As a candidate in a nonpartisan School Board election, you are not officially associated with any specific political party.  How would you describe your political leanings (socially, fiscally, etc.) and why do you define yourself in this way?

I am Proud to call myself a Christian Conservative. My Family was instrumental in the development, expansion, and support of our beloved Community and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church And I am An advocate and defender of the Constitution.

Your Experience and Vision

What experience (personal, professional, other) would you bring to your role as School Board Member that will benefit your district?  What is your vision to help ensure the highest quality education for your district’s students?

I was a Youth Sports Coach who Volunteered and Dedicated 17 Years of my life to coach grades 1-10 at Widefield Community Center. I not only taught Sportsman Ship, and the Fundamentals of each sport I coached, I also taught them how to be Competitive. The parents of the children I coached Highly Praised me and Respected me.. and for that, I will forever be grateful.

Improving Schools

What are the primary strengths and weaknesses of your district’s schools?  What would you maintain or change?

Our Students are Failing.. To me this is Unacceptable! I Thrive to make sure Our Students have Nothing more than Exceptional Education! I Thrive to make WSD3 #1 In the State for Educational Excellence and Over the Top Student Achievements~

Curriculum

What types of curricula, including library books and materials, if any, do you believe should be added or removed from your district’s schools?  Why?

I am highly Opposed to the Queer Theory Books in our Students Libraries.. I firmly believe in the 3 R’s Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.. We also need to teach Real History and Civics. Children should have the chance to see exactly How and Why our Country was Founded.

I want an education system that encourages intellectual growth and critical thinking. Children should learn how to think independently, not just what to think. It’s vital that education remains free from agendas of all types. These agendas can undermine our national pride, childhood innocence, and parental rights.

I am focused on guiding our district towards these values. We must protect our children’s educational environment from bias and hidden agendas.

Financial Stewardship

Depending on the size of their district, School Board Members decide how to spend $10s of millions of dollars, or even $100s of millions, in taxpayer money each year.  How would you seek to prioritize the funds being stewarded by your district’s School Board?

I believe in Fiscal Responsibility. Children are Failing in Math, Those Teachers get “Coaches” to teach better.. My Common sense tells me if a Teacher Applies for a Job in a Certain Subject. They should KNOW what to teach and Not have to utilize a Paid Coach, which takes away important funding for the Students themselves.

Technology

What do you believe is the proper balance of a student’s use of technology in education  —  such as cell phone use during school hours and incorporating artificial intelligence?

Children should NOT have access to Cell Phones during Class time. I do NOT believe in Utilizing AI for Any Subject. Children need to learn Critical Thinking.

Parental Role

What do you consider to be a parent’s role in a child’s education?  Do you believe that any information about a student should ever be withheld from a parent?

I will Always Respect and Protect Parental Authority and their Students. The Govt Does Not Own our Students.. Gods Children Aren’t For Sale! Nothing should EVER be withheld from the Parents regarding anything. Ever!

Sex Ed

Why do you support or oppose comprehensive sexuality education, including LGBT health and relationship information, in public schools K to 12?  What are your positions regarding age appropriateness, curriculum transparency, and opt-in or -out policies?

School Safety

As a School Board member, what changes would you want to make, if any, to help ensure a safe and secure environment for both the students and staff of your district?

Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.

School Board Meetings

What do you consider to be the appropriate balance between the authority of School Boards and the rights of the public to present their views during School Board meetings?

I believe the Community has Every right to voice their opinions on what’s happening in Schools and School Board Members need to come to an agreement with parents on what to do.

Christian voting

Voting is a simple, yet significant way to do something about public policy in our country. As people of faith, we will be held accountable for our actions, as well as our lack of action. (Luke 12:48)

Biblical worldview

By diligently learning, applying, and trusting God’s truths in every area of our lives, we can begin to develop a deep comprehensive faith that will stand against the unrelenting tide of our culture’s non-biblical ideas.

Vote your values

The issues of the day change. Political parties and platforms change. God’s Word never changes. The vote of every Christian should be based on the principles of Scripture and not persuasive personalities.

Electing righteous leaders

Bad governance and our loss of freedom is the direct result of the church’s failure to disciple. When the citizenry do not seek to be obedient to God’s Law, they vote in wicked and corrupt candidates, who then trample underfoot the God-given liberties of the people.
