2023 Colorado Springs Mayoral Runoff Election

Debates: Candidates Wayne Willams and Yemi Mobolade

Church Voter Guides informs and empowers Christian voters through nonpartisan, 501c3-compliant election guides and practical training.

The 2023 Colorado Springs Municipal Elections were concluded on April 4th, with the election of four new City Councilpeople, and a Runoff Election for Mayor.   As no candidate for Mayor received 50+% of the vote, an automatic runoff between the two top vote-getters was triggered.   Voting is for all eligible voters in municipal Colorado Springs, and is exclusively by paper ballots (no in-person voting) that are either mailed-in, or returned to an official dropbox by 7pm on Tuesday, May 16th.

Church Voter Guides, based in Colorado Springs, has produced these Voter Guides for the Municipal Elections  to provide information about each candidate and help inform the electorate.

How You Can Make a Difference

Develop a Biblical Worldview

It’s better to be biblically correct than politically correct. By diligently learning, applying, and trusting God’s truths in every area of our lives, we can begin to develop a deep, comprehensive faith that will stand against the unrelenting tide of our culture’s non-biblical ideas. (Romans 12:2)

Vote Your Values

The issues of the day change. Political parties and platforms change. God’s Word never changes. The vote of every Christian should be based on the principles of Scripture and not persuasive personalities. (Matthew 24:35)

Get Out & Vote

Voting is a simple, yet significant way to do something about public policy in our country. As people of faith, we will be held accountable for our actions, as well as our lack of action. (James 4:17)

Elect Righteous Leaders

Bad governance and our loss of freedom is directly related to the church’s failure to disciple. When citizens do not seek to be obedient to God’s Word, they elect wicked and corrupt candidates, who then trample underfoot the God-given liberties of the people. (Proverbs 29:2)
