The Economy and Resources
As an elected official, what initiatives would you champion to improve the local economy, and what are your priorities for addressing policies on water, energy, and other resources?
Education
If elected, what would you do to help improve the educational outcomes for students in our area? What is your position on parental authority in K-12 education, including school choice, parental notifications, etc.?
Protecting the Vulnerable
If elected, how will you seek to protect the lives of the most vulnerable in our community, including the unborn, victims of trafficking and abuse, senior citizens, and those experiencing mental illness?

Your Experience, Priorities, and Vision
What experience (personal, professional, other), priorities, and vision do you have for the elected office that you seek that will benefit your constituency?
I am retired military with 21 years of leadership. My background includes both military and civilian leadership, national and international negotiations and strong direct communication experience. I was a Junior executive for Ross Perot, worked with multiple Department of Homeland Security agencies such as Border Patrol, Border Protection, FBI, ICE, Local and State Law Enforcement and I’ve also owned my own business. Personally, I was a wife and am a mother of two strong intelligent men who have both served our country in the U.S. military. I am a well-rounded candidate that understands and has felt the impact of decisions made by good and bad legislation and will bring common sense communications and actions to our Denver Capitol Hill.
Ethics and Accountability
What are your beliefs on ethics, accountability, and transparency in government as they relate to the position that you are seeking? Also, what is your position on accountability measures voted into law by Colorado’s electorate, such as the Colorado Sunshine Law and the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR)?
Ethics, accountability, and transparency are of the utmost importance for this position. The title of the position I seek is “Representative” and that means just that. We are to represent and be accountable to our constituents, period. “We the People” are not only the beginning words of our Constitution, its meaning is clear. I am in full support of Colorado’s Sunshine Law and TABOR. TABOR must be protected at all costs. Both of these measures allow the people of Colorado to have a voice and hold control over their rights and power.
1st Amendment
If elected, what will you do to protect your constituents’ rights to freedom of religion, speech, peaceable assembly, and petitioning the government for a redress of grievances?
As a Representative, my job is to bring the voice of the people with me in everything I do and decide at Capitol Hill. Holding town halls and keeping communication open between myself and my constituents are the key to making sure they are heard and represented. The most important Right we have as Americans is our 1st Amendment and that is why it is listed first in our Constitution. Our First Amendment must be protected and honored at all costs.
2nd Amendment
What is your position on gun legislation regarding topics such as mandatory gun insurance, an increased minimum age to purchase a gun, so-called “assault weapons” bans, and creating various new “sensitive spaces” (additional “gun-free zones”)?
As an American who believes and lives by our Constitution, our 2nd Amendment must be protected. Our first and second amendments are first and second for a reason. Without those the rest of the U.S. Constitution is undefendable. I disagree with the attempt to disarm Americans through legislation such as mandatory gun insurance, increasing the minimum age and restricting guns from additional areas, especially churches. The ability to protect our people is paramount. These laws will cause more harm to the innocent as bad guys will always find a way to harm and don’t care about laws. In the end, these types of laws will negatively impact law abiding citizens and not criminals. Common sense must be applied.
Anti-Americanism and Anti-Semitism
Over the past year there has been a sharp rise in the expression of anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism both across our nation and in Colorado, especially among youth. What do you view as the cause(s) of these sociopolitical issues, and what if anything should be done to address them?
As a Veteran who has served this country for 21 years it saddens me to see the Anti-American unpatriotic mindset and teachings of our young Americans. I believe this starts in our schools. We must bring back our true American values and patriotism. We do this by revisiting school curriculum and in class teachings. We must bring our true untainted history to the forefront especially that related to the understanding of true American struggles and spirit. We learn from our past to build a stronger future. Understanding our relationship with others and guarding against negativity including anti-Semitism is a must. We are the greatest country in the world, we must protect against those trying to destroy it from within.
The Economy and Resources
As an elected official, what initiatives would you champion to improve the local economy, and what are your priorities for addressing policies on water, energy, and other resources?
I believe getting back to the basics when it comes to our economy and businesses is imperative. We are a free-market capitalist country. As a business owner, my understanding of fair and economical practices is first and foremost. Colorado has so much potential to become the greatest state in America, we must look at realistic, positive and sustainable growth overall. Looking at alternative measures to harness our control over water, energy and resources will be an all hands on deck effort. We must understand what our people want for the future of Colorado and work accordingly. We have many experts in the field, we must work together to make us the Colorado, we Coloradans, envision. Common sense is the key.
Education
If elected, what would you do to help improve the educational outcomes for students in our area? What is your position on parental authority in K-12 education, including school choice, parental notifications, etc.?
I believe working with the local school boards, superintendents and teachers is the key to success for our K-12 schools. They are the boots on the ground that can give direct impact analysis on legislation. This will provide guidance on how to improve legislation to help secure their success. Parental authority should be of utmost importance and protected as they are their children. Schools are a vehicle of education that should respect parental authority. School choice allows parents options for their child’s education as no one knows their child better than a parent. Schools have two jobs, education of textbook curriculum and keeping the parent informed. Rearing of a child and their beliefs is the job of the parent.
Protecting the Vulnerable
If elected, how will you seek to protect the lives of the most vulnerable in our community, including the unborn, victims of trafficking and abuse, senior citizens, and those experiencing mental illness?
As a prolife advocate bringing forth common sense legislation that protects both the unborn and mothers is very important. As for trafficking and abuse, this is an area where we must also fight to stop no matter what. Our senior citizens and their issues are those that have been sadly ignored and must be brought to the forefront of legislation to be passed. There are many ways we can bring better assistance and protections for our Seniors, we must make it a priority. As for mental illness, this must be handled immediately with stronger laws. Bringing forth long term institutions that will provide effective medical programs for our mentally ill and safety for the public is a must.
Crime
What are your thoughts about crime in Colorado and our community? If elected, how will you work to reduce the impact of crime on your constituents?
It’s no secret that our crime has increased tremendously in Colorado. We are 4th in the nation for crime. This is not good. I believe this is partly due to the border issues we have for our country along with bad legislation passed recently that protects criminals over law abiding citizens. Again, not good. I believe revisiting previous laws passed and correcting them is key and necessary. Taking away the power of those agencies specifically meant to protect our citizens is a bad move and must be rectified. Working with these important agencies and getting their expert input on laws to protect us will help turn our crime problems around. Again, common sense is key.
Immigration
Do you believe that illegal entries into the U.S. have led to problems for our region? If so, what would you do if elected to improve the situation? Also, what is your view of sanctuary cities/counties?
Illegal entries into the U.S. is a major problem for our country and state. We must work with our local agencies and give them the power to do their job in protecting our state and local areas. Recent legislation passed by Colorado has prevented our ability to protect our citizens from dangerous individuals. This must be fixed. We have the ability to turn our crime issues in this state around, however, our laws are preventing it. Colorado and El Paso County should not be a sanctuary state/county. We must get back to putting America and Americans first. We can help people in need in their own countries without allowing ours to be overrun and basically pilfered.
Election Security and Confidence
Do you believe that elections in Colorado should be conducted differently? (For example, should people be required to show proof of citizenship and residency for registering to vote in Colorado, and should Government-issued identification be required to vote?) If elected, what specifically will you do to help improve Coloradans’ confidence in our elections?
I believe our elections should be as secure as possible, including in person voting with ID and proof of citizenship/residency. We have more security getting into Costco than our own elections. When elected I will visit options to help secure our elections. I view our election security as important as I view our military security, which is of absolute necessity. Without ensuring that our voting system is tamperproof and ensuring the American confidence, we will never have a perceived or viewed “honest” election. We have many experts in the field of data security to utilize and follow through with whatever measures necessary. Our elections should have zero doubt. We do not have this today and it must be fixed.

Vote your values
The issues of the day change. Political parties and platforms change. God’s Word never changes. The vote of every Christian should be based on the principles of Scripture and not persuasive personalities.
Electing righteous leaders
Bad governance and our loss of freedom is the direct result of the church’s failure to disciple. When the citizenry do not seek to be obedient to God’s Law, they vote in wicked and corrupt candidates, who then trample underfoot the God-given liberties of the people.
