El Paso County, Colorado

2022 County Assembly

Church Voter Guides informs and empowers Christian voters through nonpartisan, 501c3-compliant election guides and practical training.

The Republican and Democratic parties in the majority of Colorado counties will convene their Assemblies on March 19th, 2022.   Delegates from each precinct, who were elected by their neighbors at Caucus during the first week of March, will determine which candidates for political office will get on the Primary Election ballots for their respective parties.  Those offices include Sheriff, County Commissioner, Clerk and Recorder, Coroner, Assessor, Surveyor, and Treasurer, as well as State Senate, State House, and Regents.

Church Voter Guides, based in Colorado Springs, has produced a Voter Guide for the Assemblies in El Paso County, specifically to provide information about each candidate to the Delegates.  We are also producing a Voter Guide for the Colorado State and Federal Assemblies, which will be held on April 8 and 9, 2022.

How You Can Make a Difference

Develop a Biblical Worldview

It’s better to be biblically correct than politically correct. By diligently learning, applying, and trusting God’s truths in every area of our lives, we can begin to develop a deep, comprehensive faith that will stand against the unrelenting tide of our culture’s non-biblical ideas. (Romans 12:2)

Vote Your Values

The issues of the day change. Political parties and platforms change. God’s Word never changes. The vote of every Christian should be based on the principles of Scripture and not persuasive personalities. (Matthew 24:35)

Get Out & Vote

Voting is a simple, yet significant way to do something about public policy in our country. As people of faith, we will be held accountable for our actions, as well as our lack of action. (James 4:17)

Elect Righteous Leaders

Bad governance and our loss of freedom is directly related to the church’s failure to disciple. When citizens do not seek to be obedient to God’s Word, they elect wicked and corrupt candidates, who then trample underfoot the God-given liberties of the people. (Proverbs 29:2)
